Ethiopians are enduring their worst drought in 50 years.
The UN says more than 10 million people need emergency food aid, and that half a million children will need treatment for acute malnutrition this year.
While international donors have given hundreds of millions of dollars already, the UN says much more is needed. And to make matters worse, aid agencies are facing huge logistical challenges getting food to families in affected areas.
Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford reports from one of the worst-hit regions.
