Magufuli promises to implement CCM Election Manifesto

CHAMA cha Mapinduzi Union presidential candidate, Dr John Magufuli, has said if elected in the forthcoming general election, he would ensure he fully oversees the implementation of the party’s Election Manifesto.

He gave the promise here on Wednesday when he stopped for half an hour to greet hundreds of Singida residents at the Regional CCM head office on his way to Dodoma from his home town of Chato in Geita Region.

He said that although he would again visit Singida during political campaigns to shed more light on CCM’s policy, he would ensure that the Election Manifesto issued by his party is fully implemented.

His main target, he said, would be to ensure that all plans which were prepared and organised by his party are accomplished during his presidency to bring about the much needed socio-economic transformation.

Dr Magufuli said that the issue of road and railway development would be given more attention to facilitate smooth transportation and haulage of goods within and outside the country.

He further promised to adhere to justice to all citizens, regardless of ideological leanings, religion, race or ethnicity in order to maintain peace, solidarity and unity. The CCM presidential aspirant also made a stopover at Shelui township in Iramba District, Ikungi town and Manyoni on his way to Dodoma to greet awaiting thousands of people who wanted to see him.

Dr Magufuli has so far visited Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Mwanza and his home region of Geita since his nomination by the CCM National Congress on July 12.

The Minister for Works trounced other 37 CCM presidential aspirants to secure a majority of votes to win the race for President of the United Republic of Tanzania.

The 56-year-old outgoing Chato Member of Parliament (MP) has demonstrated as a no nonsense leader in ensuring good governance and adherence to the rule of law.
