CCM takes Mbinga Urban seat!

THE ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi’s (CCM) Mr Sixtus Mapunda for Mbinga Urban constituency has won the seat.

The CCM aspirant hammered NCCR- Mageuzi candidate Milinga with 28,364 votes against 13,102 votes. NCCR was representing four party coalitions under Ukawa.

Mbinga Urban is one of nine constituencies in Ruvuma region. Before 2015 General Election held on Sunday, Ruvuma had seven but two new constituencies were added—Mbinga urban and Madiba. On councillor’s seats, CCM garnered 17 out of 19 seats while two went to Chadema.
