- The incident affected 160 passengers.
T'way Air flight TW122 flying from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to Incheon, Seoul, was due to takeoff at 10:35 pm on Friday, but only took-off at 9:40 am on Saturday.
The incident affected 160 passengers due to fly as they had to wait for a replacement pilot to be found.
Following the delay, the airline initiated an investigation into the matter and booked travellers into hotels and provided breakfast in the interim.
"We are currently reviewing a disciplinary action for the pilot. We are also negotiating compensation measures with the passengers," MSN quoted a T'way spokesperson as saying in The Korea Times.
Recently, an off-duty pilot with easyJet airline was aboard a flight of the same airline and was bound to fly from Manchester to Alicante for a holiday. Michael Bradley stepped in to fill in for a pilot who could not report on duty and offered to fly the plane to avoid a delay of several hours.
