Dr Magufuli to slash price of construction materials

CCM presidential flag bearer Dr John Magufuli has pledged to reduce the price of all construction materials to enable the citizenry to build better houses and enjoy improved welfare.

 

Dr Magufuli made the pledge yesterday at packed campaign rally in Morogoro where he assured the nation of a better life for every citizen.

 

He was accompanied by President Jakaya Kikwete who was in the region for a women convention, former CCM Secretary General, Yusuph Makamba and other party leaders.

 

“Tanzanians have suffered for a long time due to the high price of construction materials, it is time for them to get them at affordable prices,” he said.

 

Dr Magufuli warned tax evaders that his administration will be vigilant in tax revenue collections.

“The money that is lost to these evaders and through unnecessary tax holidays should be used to improve social service provision for the people,” he said to the cheer of the crowd.

 

Earlier in his welcoming remarks, President Jakaya Kikwete urged Morogoro residents to wisely cast their votes for Dr Magufuli as the next Union president.

 

“CCM is a strong party and will remain strong …vote for Dr Magufuli and you will never regret the choice because he is determined to work for you and the nation,” Kikwete said.
