INDIA: Seven-month pregnant woman jumps off moving van to escape rape!

The only resort a seven-month pregnant woman saw to escape an attempt to rape was jumping off a moving van in Telangana.

Unfortunately, the 35-year-old woman died as she tried to save herself. The Hindustan Times reports that the incident happened on Hyderabad-Nagpur National Highway 44 on Saturday night. The woman, who sold old clothes for a living, missed the state-run RTC bus and took lift from a private van, along with her seven-year-old daughter.

After traveling for a kilometer, the driver and the cleaner attempted to rape her when she jumped out of the moving van. The duo immediately left the daughter on the highway and fled.

A case of suspicious death has been filed by the police and sections of the Indian Penal Code related to attempt to molestation and rape will be added once established.
