Thunderstorm in Arafat on second day of Haj!

• Thunder and lightning also struck the city.

Thousands of pilgrims ran for cover while others stayed put as heavy rains lashed Arafat on the second day of Haj.

Thunder and lightning also struck the city even as pilgrims were supplicating and seeking repentance on Arafat Day.

It was a very hot and humid day till about 2.30pm.

Suddenly, dark clouds hovered over the city. Within minutes, heavy rains fell, catching the pilgrims unprepared.
