MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos presided over a meeting of the Council of Ministers at Bait al Baraka yesterday. His Majesty gave thanks and praise to the Almighty for the prosperity He bestowed on the Sultanate and prayed to Allah to eternalise these bounties for the people of Oman.

His Majesty gave thanks and praise to the Almighty for the prosperity He bestowed on the Sultanate and prayed to Allah to eternalise these bounties for the people of Oman.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan reviewed local, regional and international developments. On the domestic front, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his satisfaction with the efforts made by the government and other state sectors in implementing the plans and programmes of development, as well as the vital projects that serve the citizens and facilitate their life in their areas of residence.

Then, His Majesty the Sultan reviewed local, regional and international developments. His Majesty the Sultan commended the tangible role being undertaken by all service and economic diversification sectors, particularly the sectors of oil and gas, agriculture and fisheries, commerce and industry, tourism, transport and communications towards the enhancement of sustainable growth and
the realisation of change to productive economy.About human resources development, His Majesty the Sultan explained that the State provides all means to train national manpower to gain necessary expertise that would qualify citizens to join the labour market, while at the same time offering them enough flexibility for stability in establishments of private sector, which is required to maintain co-operation with the government in the field of employment.
His Majesty also underlined the attention being accorded by the government to the youth sector by supporting youths academically, culturally and in sports fields and offering them opportunities to play an effective role in building their country and establishing a stable life. His Majesty the Sultan attached great importance to establishing a “balanced and purposeful awareness based on ground realities in this benign land” in a manner that reflects the civilisation of the Sultanate, its glorious history and its prosperous present.
In his
review of regional and international developments, His Majesty the Sultan reaffirmed the permanent principles that distinguish the Sultanate in its relation with other countries.An observer of the world map would be able to comprehend the extent of Oman’s sincere co-operation with other countries, as well as the Sultanate’s joint work with the international community in all that serves humanity. The Sultanate’s reaffirms the importance of resolving issues by wisdom and clear vision so that all countries might enjoy stability and continuous development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan gave his directives to all sectors of the State to continue exerting efforts to promote prosperity for Oman and its noble people. — ONA
