Northern zone’s party leader, Khamis Kiemi said maturity in politics is highly needed for the country’s socio-economic development.
“There is no doubt that every political party seeks to control government, but politicians need to be very careful when it comes to politics. We should shun politics of hatred; we should preach unity all the time. This is for the healthy development of the country,” the CUF leader said.
Kiemi who is also the party secretary in Arumeru district called on judicial bodies not to take sides when it comes to delivering justice.
“Biased judgments might cause unnecessary social upheavals,” he said, adding that clean politics foster peace and tranquility in a particular locality.
“So, it is my appeal that politicians shouldn’t be agents of division, but should always preach unity,” Kiemi said, calling on parties to sell their policies to the people.
Another party leader, Hamza Ahmed said CUF will continue to be strong and right now is busy strengthening its base at the grassroots.
