Oman today celebrates the 44th National Day!

The Sultanate today celebrates the 44th National Day, with the country making remarkable developments in all domains. Forty-four years before, Oman, under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, started the new glorious era. On this glorious occasion, the nation is saluting His Majesty Sultan Qaboos for the progress and prosperity achieved since the beginning of his rule. Coinciding with the National Day celebration, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos yesterday pardoned a number of prisoners convicted in various cases. The Royal amnesty was granted to 123 inmates, which includes 60 non-Omanis. Earlier this month,
His Majesty the Sultan addressed his countrymen via live video broadcast from his estate in Germany ahead of National Day celebrations, alleviating their fears.
The message erupted in a sudden outpouring of joy, loyalty and gratitude from the people across Oman and beyond the region. Omanis marched across the Sultanate wearing scarves bearing His Majesty the Sultan’s image, waving the national flag and singing the national anthem expressing their allegiance to His Majesty and praying to Allah for his speedy recovery and safe and soon return home. Guided by this clear and deep vision, Oman has established its relations with brotherly and friendly  countries and has always stood for resolving differences through positive dialogue and peaceful means. It always seeks to enhance peace, security and stability in the region.
