WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a stabbing at a D.C. club.
Joseph Ricardo Johnson, 35, of Northwest has been arrested and charged with assault with intent to kill, police said.
Around 1:10 a.m. police were called to the Zanzibar Night Club for a report of a stabbing, police said.
Investigation revealed that the stabbing was the result of an argument between two men.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
This is the second weekend in a row that a stabbing has taken place on Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest. Last Saturday, five people were stabbed inside McFadden's Saloon in the 2400 block.
Police are still searching for two suspects in connection with the stabbing at McFadden's.
