THE second Tanzania- Israel Business and Investment Forum (TIBIF) 2015 is scheduled to be held in Dar es Salaam this month.

The forum is being organized by the Kingdom Leadership Network Tanzania (KLNT) in partnership with the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) together with the Government of Israel through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute.

The TIBIF Executive Director, Mr Isaac Mpatwa, said in Dar es Salaam on Thursday that the forum would be held on 18th to 20th this month and it would focus on agribusiness, education, energy, mining, infrastructure, security and technology.

“Various government ministers, diplomats, prominent businessmen and women, entrepreneurs and leaders from Africa and beyond are expected to attend the forum,” he said.

According to Mr Mpatwa, the delegates will learn from the extraodinary national and international acknowledged speakers through presentations in the form of panels, expert and practitioners’ talks and business (B2B)meetings.

The forum will also provide a platform for networking, one to one business and development partnership negotiations.

Mpatwa said the forum intends to leverage and tap on Israel’s advancement in scientific and technological innovations for economic development of Tanzania and will therefore foster strategic alliances and solid business partnership between private small, medium and large scale businesses and investments from Israel and Tanzania.

The first TIBIF took place in Dar es Salaam on March 2014 and was officiated by the Vice- President, Dr Mohamed Gharib Bilal.
