CCM cadres living in the Diaspora have expressed their satisfaction over President Magufuli’s leadership vowing to support him in his endeavours to bring economic change in the country.
The party’s branch in England congratulated the Head of State for instituting discipline in government saying for a long time there was corruption and impunity that made Tanzanians to remain poor and fail to access social services as many officials worked in a business as usual style.
“CCM members here say for a long time our party has been receiving blame for poor performance making people to give up and make our party lose popularity because of few people who were unprofessional thus killing our party,’’ said the CCM members in a statement.
The CCM cadres asked the government to ignore the few individuals who have been criticising the party and the government.“We trust Dr Magufuli and he has surely flabbergasted us for what he did in his first 100 days in office and this is a clear indication that in a short period to come the government will have done more things than what we are currently witnessing,’’ reads the statement in part.
According to them, discipline has been revived in government and that public servants have started to discharge their duties in a just and fair manner, leading by example, including suspending and axing underperforming officials who have been derailing services to people.
The CCM members insist that it would be prudent if those who are punching holes in the performance exhibited by Dr Magufuli in his first 100 days in office to bring their report on what they have so far done so that people can judge them especially the parliamentarians in their constituencies.
When opening a special meeting of CCM members in England, the branch Chairperson, Mr Kapinga Kangoma, asked CCM members and all Tanzanians living in the Diaspora to volunteer their contributions to the Fifth Phase government in its quest to fast track development.
“The work to institute discipline in government is tough, therefore we need to support the Head of State so as to see a new Tanzania that will benefit everyone especially the majority poor who are living in rural areas,’’ he insisted.
The CCM members met to analyse the achievement that the Fifth Phase government has so far achieved. The meeting that came out with deliberations was convened at Leicester at the weekend.
