The Saudi son killer spent time in jail for murdering his uncle!

  • Saudi father who killed his son had just left prison one month earlier after serving seven-year jail term for killing his uncle in a dispute
Manama: The Saudi father who killed his 11-year-old son had just left prison one month earlier after serving a jail term of seven years for running over and killing his uncle in a family dispute, Saudi daily Okaz reported.

Sources speaking to the daily revealed that the father came out of jail mentally disturbed and that he at times wrote gibberish on house walls.

They added that he was also seen asking passersby he did not know for drugs, which made everyone believe that he was mentally unstable.

Online users have called for the execution of the father, urging the authorities and judges not to show “an iota of compassion” towards a man who cold-bloodedly killed his innocent son and severed his head.

The father told investigators he had stabbed his son in the heart before severing his head.

He told the investigators that he had bought a knife for SR5 ($1.2) from a discount store, concealed it under his clothes and headed to the school where his son was a fourth-grade student.

He requested the school administration to allow him to take his son Abdullah home be-fore the end of the school day.

The father added that he took Abdullah to an isolated area where he stabbed him in the heart and severed his head, Saudi daily Okaz reported. He then headed to another area where he buried the knife and sat passively for three hours before going to the road safety police and reported his crime.

The policemen, shocked by the father’s claims, remained suspicious about the murder, but duly detained him until a police patrol went to the area he indicated and found the headless body.

A spokesperson for the police in the southern region of Jazan confirmed the murder, saying that a 40-year-old Saudi national had reported that he took his son out of his school to an empty area where he killed him.

Police Spokesperson Mohammad Al Harbi said that the police found the boy’s body and detained the father.

During the questioning, the man appeared highly agitated and seemed about to collapse, prompting the investigators to try to calm him down in order to find out the reasons for the grisly murder that shocked the nation.

The father said that he had divorced Abdullah’s mother seven years earlier and that the couple had another child, a 14-year-old daughter who was living with her maternal grandfather.

However, the father refused to divulge the reasons for killing his son.
