Samsung has unveiled a new set of curved monitors that feature AMD’s FreeSync support as opposed to the former HDMI. Dubbed CF591 and CF390, the new Samsung monitors are touted as being equipped with the capacity to meet the various multimedia and multitasking needs of users, whether for personal or professional uses. Likewise, the new monitors are designed to create a visually comfortable environment that encourages their long-term use. The CF591 has a 27-inch display, while the CF390 comes in 23.5 and 27-inch models. These new monitors from Samsung are equipped with the company’s latest innovations.
These include a sharper curve with the radius reaching up to 1,800 millimetres (70.87 inches) and enhanced picture quality that can deliver a type of presentation that has been optimized to match the shape of the viewer’s eye. “As consumers seek a more pleasurable and immersive viewing experience, whether at work or at play — curved monitors can take their experience to the next level,” said Seog-gi Kim, senior vice president of Visual Display Business at Samsung. While some users might perceive the mammoth curved monitors as promoting visual fatigue, Samsung claims otherwise and adds that the monitors actually reduce reflectance, thereby allowing users to enjoy longer viewing periods.
