A cruise liner longer than the Eiffel Tower and 100 metres longer than the Titanic set off on its first sea trial on Thursday evening from Saint-Nazaire, western France, with just two months to go to delivery. Thousands of people gathered at the dock to watch as the 120,000-tonne ship was helped out to sea by six tugs. The STX France shipyards began building the one-billion-euro mammoth for US shipbuilder Royal Caribbean International in September 2013. The ship has room for some 6,360 passengers and 2,100 staff members. — AFP
You could spend your whole day going up and down three waterslides that spiral down 10 decks on the upcoming Harmony of the Seas cruise ship from Royal Caribbean International.
