TAARIFA KUTOKA UBALOZI WA MAREKANI NCHINI TANZANIA KUHUSU OPERESHENI UKUTA


Ubalozi wa Marekani kwa Tanzania umewatahadharisha raia wa Marekani waishio nchini kuhusiana na Operesheni UKUTA iliyopangwa kufanyika septemba.

Taarifa kutoka ofisi za ubalozi huo zinaeleza kuwa kuna hofu ya maandamano hayo kudumu hata baada ya september mosi hivyo kuwataka raia wake kuwa makini na usalama wao.

Ubalozi umeeleza kuwa raia wa Marekani hawajawai kuwa wahanga wa maandamano yaliyopita ila umewataka raia wake kuwa makini juu ya usalama pamoja na kufuatilia vyombo vya habari vya ndani ili kujua kinachoendelea.

Ubalozi huo umesema ingawa maandamano yamedhamiriwa kuwa ya amani, kuna uwezekano wa kutotokea makabiliano yatakayoweza kusababisha machafuko hivyo kuwataka raia wake kuepuka maeneo yatakayokuwa na maandamano.

Security Message: Nationwide Protests Scheduled for September 1, 2016

The U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam alerts U.S. citizens that opposition political leaders have called for a nationwide day of protest currently scheduled for September 1, 2016, but may continue for more than one day.

While U.S. citizens have not been specifically targeted in past demonstrations, we urge you to exercise caution and stay current with media coverage of local events.

Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence.  Avoid areas where demonstrations are taking place and exercise caution when in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
