INDIA: Student beaten, forced to lick shoes for using water!

• Kumar has surrendered and the police are investigating the case.

A student from Arunachal Pradesh has been allegedly beaten and forced to lick his house owners shoes for using excessive water, a top police official said. The incident took place in Bengaluru.

"A student from Arunachal Pradesh was beaten and the police is investigating into the students claim that he was forced to lick his house owners shoes for using excessive water," DCP (South East) Dr M B Boralingaiagh told PTI.

The house owner has been identified as Hemanth Kumar, he said, adding, a case has been registered following a complaint from Higio Guntey, a fourth-semester student of Christ University, Boralingaiah said.

The incident took place on March 6. Kumar has surrendered and the police are investigating the case, Boralingaiah said.
