This Dh16 million house can be yours for just Dh50!

  • And the company is also giving you a car.
Owning a property in London is a dream not many can afford to harbour, but a competition website has just given us a glimmer of hope.An elegant three-bedroom abode on London's swanky Walton Street, which has the intricacies of a classic West London apartment, with high ceilings, sash windows and period features offset by modern fittings, can be yours for £10 (Dh50) as part of an extravagant prize draw. The market cost of the apartment is a whopping £3.2 million (Dh15.8 million).

Your LADDR, a newly launched competition website, is organising the prize draw, and is selling 380,000 tickets at £10 each, with a maximum of 150 tickets per person.

The competition will run for nine months or until all tickets have been sold, with each ticket promising a 1 in 380,000 chance of winning the millionaire-worthy pad in one of London's most elite locales.

Santa Agolli, founder of the competition website, was quoted in The Evening Standard newspaper as saying, "It is so hard to get on the London property market full stop, but for many people this kind of home is a dream. I want to empower someone to have this home which is right at the top end of the market. It is an amazing property, so I cannot wait to see who wins it."

The catch here is that the 1,063 square foot high-end apartment will have to be won in a skill-basked competition, distinguishing it from a random lottery draw, which the law prohibits from being run for personal profit.

The participants will have to take on a "Spot The Ball" cricketing challenge, judged by a professional cricketer where they will have to aim at the precise centre of the ball to win. If more than one hit the right spot then a winner will be selected and others given a cash prize, according to the rules of the competition.

If that's not all, to fit in the elite locale, the competition company is also throwing in a car worth up to £56,000, with roadside parking beside the property.
