Is it a camera trick? Or just a taxiway?
A video doing the rounds online is leaving many people scratching their heads. It shows an Emirates A380 plane taxiing on what looks like a highway.
Sorry to dampen the excitement, but the plane is in fact moving along on a taxiway after landing at an airport. A part of the taxiway simply happens to be on a bridge going over a regular highway.
"This is not a highway. The taxiway of the airport happens to be on a bridge," an Emirates spokesperson told Khaleej Times.
"Many airports have this," the statement added.
Indeed, a quick search on YouTube shows many airports where taxiways go over roads meant for vehicular traffic, such as airports in Amsterdam, Singapore and Gibraltar.
