Doctors remove bulb holder for man's lungs after 30 years!

Doctors in China removed a light bulb holder from the lungs of a man.

The 45-year-old man, Hao, had the holder stuck within him for 30 years. He had accidentally inhaled it while learning to smoke as a teenager.

Hao was admitted to the hospital after suffering from chronic cough. After conducting investigations, doctors found some object inside his lungs."It was not a tumour. it seemed to be a foreign object stuck in the lung," Dr Wang told Jiaxing News.

"The cigarettes were not filtered back in the eighties. We were using tobacco leaves and it was bitter if the leaves went into the mouth, so I used a light bulb holder as a filter,' Hao recalled.

The holder was removed in a two-hour long surgery.
