Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to return wedding gifts worth £7m!

• Royals are not allowed to receive freebies from businesses or people they do not personally know.

Newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will return some of the presents they received for the royal wedding. According to reports, the couple, who are on their honeymoon, were given £7m worth of unsolicited gifts from businesses, firms and celebrities

Their Kensington Palace home was filled with packages and parcels, but they will send everything back as royals are not allowed to receive freebies from businesses or people they do not personally know, to prevent them being exploited for commercial purposes, reports said.

According to guidelines: "Gifts offered by private individuals living in the UK not personally known to the Member of the Royal Family should be refused where there are concerns about the propriety or motives of the donor or the gift itself."
