The 27-year-old is also accused of forging a booking for a hotel room in Dubai in the dead man's name using his Emirates ID, according to 24.
In the records, the prosecution revealed that an individual had booked room 406 at a hotel for two consecutive nights and paid in cash. After the second night, the hotel receptionist called the individual's room to inquire whether he would be extending his stay, but the man didn't pick up.
To follow-up, the receptionist called the man's mobile number and another person answered the phone. He informed him that the name of the person he was inquiring about had been dead for three years.
Alarmed, the receptionist called the police and informed them of the situation.
Within minutes, they had arrived at the hotel and arrested the fraudster.
