Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim’s life tells a story of a distinguished son of Zanzibar, a man who served his country, and the entire continent with distinction. 
A committed pan-African, his engagement in the struggle for a free, united, integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa remains a source of inspiration for current and future generations. 
The youngest African ambassador, he represented the United Republic of Tanzania in Egypt, India, China, and the UN in New York.
Dr. Salim is honored for his outstanding dedication, tenacity, and perseverance.
