Warm Greetings from the *IIT Madras Zanzibar* (Tanzania) - The newly inaugurated overseas campus of IIT Madras. Hope this mail finds you well.
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) is an institute of national importance established through an Act of the Indian Parliament in 1959. The new campus of IITM, at Zanzibar (Tanzania), is proposed as a world-class institution serving the educational and research needs in the East African region.
The first international campus of IIT Madras currently accepts applications for its *Data Science and Artificial Intelligence full-time degree programs (BS & MTech)* where the classes commence from Oct 2023. The degrees will be awarded by IIT Madras. It is an exciting step forward as IIT Madras brings its rigorous & award-winning academic culture to its Zanzibar campus. The curriculum, teaching pedagogy, and student selection are by highly accomplished faculty from IIT Madras, internships and study abroad programs will be worked into the program, and campus accommodation in hostel/dorms is planned for the students.

*Eligibility:*
1. BS in DS & AI
* Form VI/Class XII equivalent students
* Must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in the last 3 years (i.e. 2021, 2022 & 2023)
2. MTech in DS & AI
* 4-year UG degree in Engineering/Science
* Master's degree in Science (if the candidate has a 3-year UG degree)
*Note:* Students from all nationalities are eligible to apply to this international campus

Date & Time of Examination: Sep 03, 2023; 2 to 4 pm Indian Time
Dates of Interviews for shortlisted candidates: Aug 27 - 30, 2023
Results & Admission Letters by: Sep 20, 2023
*Fees & Scholarships:*
* Bachelor of Science (DS & AI): USD 12000 per year + Accommodation costs additional
* MTech (DS & AI): USD 4000 per year + Accommodation costs additional
* Tuition fee waiver of up to 80% will be available for meritorious candidates
* No separate application for scholarships
