Taliban militants say they have killed three US soldiers during an attack on the foreign forces in eastern Afghanistan, Press TV reports.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said on Saturday that the US troops were killed in Ghazni, which is the capital of Ghazni province.
Earlier in the day, Mujahid said that the Taliban had killed nine US-led soldiers in Afghanistan’s eastern city of Khost. The Taliban spokesman said that a US-led military convoy was attacked near the airport in Khost. However, NATO officials have not yet confirmed the incident.

According to the latest figures released by the website icasualties.org, 3,236 foreign soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the US-led war began in 2001.
The increasing number of military casualties in Afghanistan has caused widespread anger in the US and other NATO member states, undermining public support for the Afghan war.
The US-led war in Afghanistan removed the Taliban from power, but insecurity continues to rise across Afghanistan, despite the presence of about 130,000 US-led troops.
