Dubbed ‘Timka na BodaBoda’ the promo is scheduled to run for 100 days and will see a total of 430 motorbikes being won, with five customers winning one on a daily basis.
“We shall also have a grand prize of 30m/- that will go to one lucky customer. The first month will also see one customer win 10m/- and the second month shall have a 20m/-winner,” said Vodacom Tanzania Head of Brand and Communication, Kelvin Twissa.
“The Timka na BodaBoda promo will also see two customers win 1 million/- each every day, with one customer winning 5m/- every week for 14 weeks”.
“We believe that through this promotion, we shall give direct employment to lucky customers who will win a Boda Boda everyday. Those that win cash prizes will also have the resources to start up or boost their income generating activities,” Twissa explained.
The promo comes barely six months after the curtains came down on the Mahela Promotion, which saw the grand winner, Valerian Mugisha, a student at Teachers’ College in Kasulu-Kigoma win 100 million/- in cash. Interested parties are to text the word PROMO and send it to 15544 to enroll into the promotion and “…each SMS will cost 200/-,” Twissa clarified.
