Gen Mohammed meets Tanzanian president

General Shaikh Mohammed hoped that the visit would strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.                                        
 
General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received the visiting President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, at Al Bahr Palace here on Monday.
General Shaikh Mohammed welcomed the Tanzanian president, hoping the visit would further strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in the light of interest of leadership in both countries.
He stressed the keenness of the UAE led by the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on developing the relations with the friendly African countries through increasing investments to achieve mutual interest.

General Shaikh Mohammed also received on Monday a visiting British parliamentary delegation at Al Bahr Palace on Monday.


The delegation included three members of the Conservative Party and one member of the Liberal Democrat Party, both of which form the government coalition in Britain; and three members of the opposition Labour Party. The Labour members include the shadow Defence Minister and the shadow Minister for the Middle East.
He briefed the British MPs on the UAE’s vision under the leadership of President Shaikh Khalifa to achieve inclusive development and more developmental achievements.
The visiting delegation also heard the UAE’s point of view on a variety of topics of mutual concern. The two sides reviewed latest regional and international developments and a broad range of issues of common interest.
