Hasik-Al Shuwaimayah road opens

SADAH  — The Ministry of Transport and Communications yesterday opened Hasik-Al Shuwaimayah road before traffic, which is worth RO 111 million and 87 km in length. Salim bin Mohammed al Nuaimi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Transport said that 97 per cent of the project, which shortcuts 543 km between the Wilayat of Sadah through Salalah-Thumrait-Shleem-Al Shuwaimayah to 87 km. He affirmed that the Ministry of Transport and Communications continues to work in various governorates of the Sultanate as part of its efforts to provide the requirements of the modern roads, adding that the rehabilitation and modification of Mirbat-Sadah-Hadbin-Hasik, including the wadis and curves and worth about RO 23 million, is one of the upcoming road projects to be implemented by the Ministry in the Wilayat of Sadah. — ONA
