ALLY SALEH: STOP THIS RUBBISH AND NUISANCE!!!

ALLY SALEH (ABOVE), DON'T BE A NUISANCE TO YOURSELF!!!
KIKWETE HAS NEVER BEEN A PROFESSOR. HE IS JUST LIKE ANYONE OF US WHO GOES OUT TO JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL TO GET A PIMPLE POPPED, WHEN MILLIONS OF HIS PEOPLE ARE CRAMMED LIKE SARDINES IN DILAPIDATED HOSPITALS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Professor Kikwete always has a surprise to make ...

By Ally Saleh Straight Talk

IN SUMMARY
He also thereafter went into several public speaking opportunities to do the same only to make a huge u-turn to now say all that must stop and that is why I said my Professor President has always an extra rabbit from his magic hat.
Prof Jakaya Kikwete, my president does not cease to surprise me. He always has an ace up his sleeve and is very tactful on when to use that important card. He has done this several times.
The latest is his pronouncement that for sure has sent shivers in the spine of many Tanzanians. He so orders that he is banning any public discussions on the Proposed Constitution in the form of campaign.
He says all this should be done in line with the law and in this case is the Referendum Law passed specifically to regulate the process of validating the Proposed Katiba which has been written out of initial input by Constitutional Review Commission (CRC) and finally by the Constituent Assembly (CA) under the chairmanship of Samuel Sitta.
His argument would have been good if everything was equal, but it is not and has not been. If he were to follow the law to the letter his advisors should have told him that everything has gone zigzag and using the law on this instance, only muddies the water more.
When the Referendum Law was passed the legislators assumed a lot of things and they included the fact that the law itself would be implemented without a hitch and straight after the CA had passed the Proposed Constitution. This was not the case. Also the legislators had assumed that the law would have been implemented when the National Electoral Commission (NEC) had already prepared the Voters Register, but this has not been the case.
Moreover, the law on Referendum was created in such a way in this particular issue, that the government would have printed the Proposed Constitution in large quantities for the public so that wananchi get the opportunity to thoroughly read it.
On top of that the law was made with the assumption that all being equal there would have been no gap between the date of passage of the Proposed Constitution to the Referendum day as is the case now.
President Kikwete should have been advised that it was not possible under the above circumstances to use the law, and claim correct use of the law, to ban public education and campaign for the Proposed Constitution while himself openly urging for the YES vote as he received the copy. He also thereafter went into several public speaking opportunities to do the same only to make a huge u-turn to now say all that must stop and that is why I said my Professor President has always an extra rabbit from his magic hat.
How is it possible that President Kikwete can stop the whole nation and close all our mouths and for that matter put cotton buds in all our ears not to hear anything about the very important document in the life of our country? Does he really posses that power? And if so, is it democratic? I wonder-does President Kikwete earnestly believe that Tanzanians will be silenced just like that? As a professor he should know the more the Tanzanians revise the Proposed Constitution the more informed they will be and the better will be their decision come referendum day. To me it does not matter whether one goes public to argue for a YES or NO vote, to me a talking nation is bound to become stronger than a dull and silenced nation. We need to hear and hear all kinds of argument until we are convinced.
I am sure his advisors did not tell him that he cannot gag us. He cannot stop the wave and the tide. If any attempt is done to stop public discussions it will not be in the interest of the country, probably of a particular group if not a party and that is not healthy.
Tanzania is too huge a country to pretend we can cover it with the little time proposed by the law and which President Kikwete has already said he will use his powers to even decrease it.

  • Journalists, can you please spare us all of this indignity? We as a nation are headed to being a joke of the world if we keep being this silly! Stop using titles to people who do not deserve them. It adds no value at all, whether Kikwete is bogus professor or not if his abilities do not correspond with deserving qualities for the title.

Respect is a WORD OF GOD to elders and those given power to lead others regardless of what. As citizen of Tanzania .. a country which has Commander In Chief of Armed Forces you are obliged to respect him at all levels.

            REGARDLESS???? REALLY???

Respect is earned, not forcefully demanded. Elders earn their respect by their deeds and wisdom.
How does "Commander in Chief" fit into earning respect? You mean intimidation equated with respect?

Go tell it to the birds. Why should we respect the guy who neither respect himself nor us? You always reap what you sowed. Prof that has nary attained even a master degree! The guy who felled our education! Prof of profligacy obvious. I respect everybody who respect himself or herself but.
