THE Kuwait Ambassador to Tanzania, Jassim Ibrahim Al Najem, has commended the government for its initiatives of ensuring that all development projects are being implemented on time.
The Kuwait ambassador showered the praise during his tour of various areas, which included the inauguration of a mosque, Madrassa and water well at Mbweni, Boko area on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam.
He said the Kuwait government in collaboration with benefactors from his government are implementing a 197,466 US dollar development projects under the supervision of the Direct Aid Society of the government of Tanzania.
The projects to be undertaken include construction of comprehensive complex, which will also include an orphanage centre, primary and secondary schools, a clinic and office building.
Ambassador Al Najem on one side thanked Tanzanian officials for their co-operation with the Kuwaiti charity agencies, which, he said, led to the speeding up of the projects implementation process.On the other, he said, there was full evidence to illustrate that the Kuwaiti charity activities are appreciated by many Tanzanian beneficiaries as frequently illustrated by their turning up in big numbers during the inauguration and commissioning.
Many appreciate the contribution of these projects to raising their living standards and helping the needy. He recalled that this was in line with the State of Kuwaiti’s first anniversary of honouring Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Al-Sabah, May Allah protect him, as a humanitarian leader and the proclamation of Kuwait as an international humanitarian centre.
