WOMAN WALKING NAKED IN DUBAI!

  • A government employee has been sentenced to three months in jail on the charge of having sexual relations with the Chinese woman.
A man in UAE is awaiting an appeal ruling against a conviction that he had an illicit sexual relation with a 28-year-old Chinese woman, who, according to an eyewitness, was found walking naked in the city.

The 25-year-old, a government employee, was earlier sentenced to a three-month jail term by the Court of Misdemeanors on the charge of having an illicit sexual relation with the woman, whom he accused of maliciously implicating him.The woman claimed to investigators that she had sex with him after he had promised to help her in another case.

The defense lawyer on behalf of the government employee, Youssef Al Bloushi of Bin Suwaidan for Advocacy and Legal Consultancy, argued at the Court of Appeals for his client's innocence, saying his client's only contacts with the woman happened during interrogation.

"It happened that he speaks the Mandarin language well and he was the translator between her and the interrogators when she was being investigated in connection with another case. However, out of malice she implicated him in the present criminal case," the lawyer said.

In his arguments, Al Bloushi said the whole case file lacked for any solid and concrete evidence that could incriminate his client. "The forensic report came out negative as to any proof of any sexual relation that could prove the prosecution case against my client. The whole arraignment sheet revolves around an alleged confession given by my client to the police. But I say that confession was given out of moral coercion."

The woman had been arrested in December last year and had her passport then seized pending the legal procedure. She had been referred to Bur Dubai police station after she was caught holding a placard at a mall in which she was expressing a sort of objection to her country's government.

However, and in the wake of that, she was reported to the police by a Moroccan woman who claimed she spotted her walking naked on the street. "The Chinese woman not only falsely accused my client of that relation with her but also physically assaulted him. She bit his hand when he was with his wife," lawyer Al Bloushi said.
