- The metal piece stuck in his private was removed at a Dubai hospital.
The man had earlier gone to a private clinic as he was suffering from severe swelling and blood clot in the private part. The doctors at the clinic tried to use a mechanical aid to help him urinate, when accidentally a metal piece got stuck in there, reports Emarat Al Youm.
Lieutenant Muhammad Suhail Al Kutbi of the Dubai Civil Defence told Khaleej Times that as soon as Rashid Hospital informed them, a rapid intervention team was formed.
Al Kutbi along with First Lieutenant Khaled Hussein Shehata and Colonel Ali Fadl al-Mawla swung into action and rushed to the spot. Al Kutbi said his team was able to extract the metal piece off the private part with the help of a device invented by Khaled, which deftly cuts hard metal parts, Kutbi pointed out.
The Civil Defence team, and the hospital doctors, took 30 minutes to carry out the operation, even though it was complicated.
The man remained under medical supervision for six hours and is on the path to a speedy recovery now.
