Zanzibar Government Officials to Attend DICOTA Convention ( August 30 - Sept 02, 2018)!

The Diaspora Council of Tanzanians in America(DICOTA) is extremely proud of its relationship and partnership with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar. We are happy to announce that the Minister of State in the President’s Office and the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council (POCRC), Hon. Issa Haji Ussi Gavu and his Principal Secretary Salum Maulid Salum will be joining the 2018 DICOTA Convention in Seattle, WA.

Hon. Issa Haji Ussi Gavu Minister of State, President Office and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council of Zanzibar. The Ministry of State in the President's Office and the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council (POCRC) is one among sixteen Ministries established in the Seventh Phase of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar. The Office plays a central role that in overseeing development programs, and activities aiming at reduction and ultimately alleviation of poverty among Zanzibari's as well as strengthening Good Governance and Human Rights. The Office is also responsible for coordinating Regional and International Cooperation, International Relations and Zanzibar Diaspora issue.
