A 27-year-old man from Mumbai, India, has raised an abstruse objection against his parents because they did not seek his consent for bringing him into the world. Raphael Samuel is planning to sue his parents for giving birth to him without his permission.

He has been described as an 'anti-natalist' and is of the opinion that humans are a destructive force on earth and it is wrong to reproduce, Mirror.co.uk. quoted Times Now News reports.

In spite of his claims that he has a "great relationship" with his parents, Samuel says, "I want to tell all Indian kids that they don't owe their parents anything. I love my parents, and we have a great relationship, but they had me for their joy and their pleasure." He further added, "My life has been amazing, but I don't see why I should put another life through the rigmarole of school and finding a career, especially when they didn't ask to exist."
Samuel said that people must know it is an option to not have children and also urged them to seek an explanation from parents as to why they give birth to children. He has also posted a video on YouTube where he talks about a 'myth' of respecting elders in India, but says that what we should be respecting is people's actions.

"Has that person treated you well? Is that person giving you freedom? Is that person encouraging your growth?" Samuel asks on his video. He also believes that parents owe children for bringing them joy, rather than the other way round. "You must love them if you feel like loving them," he said.
