Boxing fans were looking forward to an exciting fight between two of the best in the world, with WBA (Regular) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and WBA (Super) welterweight champion Keith Thurman battling at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The 40-year-old Pacquiao came out firing from the outset and knocked down Thurman in the first round. He never looked back in winning by split decision (114-113 Thurman, 115-112, 115-112) and capturing Thurman's belt.
