The UAE on Monday announced discovery of new huge natural gas reservoirs on Dubai-Abu Dhabi border estimated to be 80 trillion cubic feet.
The new reservoirs will help achieve the goal of self-sufficiency in natural gas supplies and support the country’s major development projects in the coming years.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted: “With my brother Mohammed bin Zayed, I witnessed the signing of an agreement between Adnoc and Dusup to develop one of the largest gas fields discovered between the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with reserves of 80 trillion cubic feet.”
