COVID-19: UAE reports 994 new Covid-19 cases, 1,043 recoveries!

• The authorities urged public to avoid social gatherings and follow social distancing guidelines.

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Friday announced 994 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, as well as 1,043 recoveries.

MoHAP also reported four deaths today.

The new cases were detected through 50,000 more tests.

The total number of cases as on May 22 are 27,892, while recoveries are at 13,798. The death toll stands at 241.
The ministry called upon the public to adhere to health guidelines and instructions from the relevant authorities during Eid Al Fitr, particularly concerning social distancing, for the sake of the health and safety of all.

In a virtual press conference on Thursday, Humaid Al Qutami, Director General of Dubai Health Authority said that the increase in the number of Covid-19 infections is not a matter of concern and the country's healthcare system is well prepared for all emergency situations.
