MAN GUNNED DOWN IN NORTH YORK PLAZA (TORONTO, CANADA)!

OCT. 30, 2014: Twelve years after his two siblings were killed, Jamal Roache, 26, was walking through a strip plaza at Keele St. and Sheppard Ave. W. when a gunman, who was laying in wait, hopped out of a car and opened fire. He tried to run for his life but the shooter chased him down, spraying him with more bullets until he collapsed, then stood over him firing several more times as he lay on the ground.

MARCH 20, 2002: Chemere “Crystal” Roache, 18, was sitting in her car outside the Apollo nightclub on Racine Rd., near Kipling Ave. and Rexdale Blvd., around 1:30 a.m. when an argument erupted prompting four men to pull out guns and open fire. Chrystal, who was mortally wounded, tried to flee for her life as bullets sprayed her vehicle, but she crashed into a tree and later died in hospital. Her boyfriend, who was standing next to her car and is thought to have been the intended target, was wounded.

DEC. 24, 2002: Just nine months after his sister was shot to death, Yannick Antwon Roache, 18, was gunned down on Christmas Eve outside 25 San Romanoway, a highrise at Jane St. and Finch Ave., as he exited a taxi with his girlfriend and her two sons, aged 3 and 2 months. He was strapping the elder boy into a stroller as two men approached, one of whom pulled out a gun and opened fire, killing him in front of the kids.

TORONTO - Jamal Roache was only 15 when his older sister and brother were gunned down nine months apart in horrific shootings that both made headlines.
Now a dozen years later, at 26, he has met a similar fate and becomes the third sibling in the Roache family to die by bullets.
His gangland-style assassination Thursday night in a strip mall at Keele St. and Sheppard Ave. W. was captured by surveillance cameras — graphic footage Toronto Police have released in the hopes of encouraging witnesses to come forward.
“It’s a brazen, brazen attack,” Homicide Det.-Sgt. Steve Ryan said Saturday. “Nobody deserves to die like that.”
He said the city’s 48th murder victim of the year , who was known to police, was gunned down around 11:30 p.m.
“As he was walking through the mall, he was being stalked by a dark blue or black Honda Civic,” Ryan said. “Our shooter, the suspect, exits the passenger side of this Honda Civic, ambushes Jamal, who was walking by himself, and shoots him several times.”
“Jamal subsequently dies as a result of gunshot wounds,” he said, adding the victim was hit six to eight times.
In the video, the dying man is seen on the ground, reaching out for help, as the gunman callously hops back into the car’s passenger seat and drives off.
“When you see the attack, it’s bothersome because it’s an unarmed man who is ambushed by this shooter, who just opens up and shoots him to death,” Ryan said, pointing out the gunman appeared to be armed with a fully automatic weapon.
Roache’s mother was busy making funeral plans Saturday and wasn’t able to talk about her son’s murder — the third child she must now bury.
On Mar. 20, 2002, her daughter Chemere “Crystal” Roache was outside a Rexdale nightclub when she was caught in a hail of bullets believed to be meant for her boyfriend.
The 18-year-old was sitting behind the wheel of her car outside the Apollo on Racine Rd., near Kipling Ave. and Rexdale Blvd., when her boyfriend, who was standing next to her vehicle, became embroiled in an argument around 1:30 a.m.
Four men drew their guns and opened fire.
Crystal, who was shot in the head in the melee, sped off in her car and crashed into a tree 100 metres away.
Her boyfriend suffered a minor gunshot wound to his leg.
Nine months later, on Christmas Eve of 2002, Yannick Antwon Roache, who had just turned 18, was shot to death at a North York highrise in front of his girlfriend and her two young sons, aged 3 years and 2 months.
The trio had just exited a taxi around 6:30 p.m. and he was strapping the eldest boy into his stroller when two men approached.
There was a brief exchange of words, then one of the men pulled out a gun and fired. He collapsed in a pool of blood as his girlfriend and her kids watched in horror.
Three siblings, all killed violently.
Ryan shuddered at the thought of one mother enduring so much loss.
And all the veteran Homicide investigator can do to ease her pain following her latest child’s slaying is catch the culprit responsible.
But he has little to go on at this point, so he needs help from the public to identify and track down the killer.
The man was wearing a black and grey hoodie, dark shoes with white soles and a toque.
Anyone with information regarding this murder should call the Homicide Unit at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
