A NUMBER of residents in Katavi and Rukwa regions have hailed President John Magufuli for his excellent steps in reviving the ailing economy, calling upon every Tanzanian to fully support and rally behind him.

A cross section of Mpanda Town residents in Katavi Region interviewed by the ‘Daily News’ at different occasions were highly impressed by President Magufuli . Mariam Swedi (34), vegetables and fruits vendor at Mpanda Town bus terminal, hailed President Magufuli and Premier, Kassim Majaliwa saying that she was highly impressed by them. “We must rally behind them and pray for them.

Indeed they (Dr Magufuli , Mr Majaliwa) are the men of action , men of all people regardless of political affiliations, “ noted Ms Swedi. Most of the people in Sumbawanga Town (Rukwa) despite political affiliation they were closely monitoring events since President Magufuli was sworn in as the fifth president and were highly impressed by his splendid and dignified approach to work.

“We should support our President for his noble task..... for uncovering the rot at Dar Port where 349 containers were found missing just a week after another sickening thievery of over 2,400 containers was unearthed, at the same major sea gateway in the country, “ noted Mr Emanuel Mbalamwezi, a resident of Sumbawanga in Rukwa region.Several residents from both Katavi and Rukwa regions also praised President Magufuli for the small cabinet of 19 ministers and 15 deputies. “We congratulate Dr Magufuli for the well-thought appointment of ministers and their deputies.

“This will unquestionably save a big amount of money that will be used to improve social services including, agriculture, roads, health and education,” said Mr Gabriel Hokororo, the School Head of Kalangasa Secondary School in Sumbawanga Municipality.
