LONDON: Woman hospitalised for laughing too much!

• Doctors told Owen that her chest was inflamed due to excessive laughing.

A 19-year-old student and a fan of comedian Michael McIntyre had to be rushed to the hospital for "laughing too hard". Jessica Owen, who was attending the opening weekend of McIntyre's Big World Tour in her hometown of Plymouth, UK, had to undergo an ECG after she experienced chest pain and numbness in her arm.After a thorough check-up at the Derriford Hospital, doctors told Owen that her chest was inflamed due to excessive laughing.

"My chest started to really hurt with sharp pains and my arm went numb. "It was pretty scary. We decided to leave ASAP and get it checked out," Owen was quoted as saying in Evening Standard.

"The doctor asked where I had been and he said, ‘It’s obvious what you’ve done... you’ve laughed too hard.’”

Jessica said she contacted the comedian, 42, on Facebook to tell him what happened and he offered her two free tickets to another show.
