JK flies for Kampala meeting
President of United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has left the country today morning for the International Great Lakes Region Conference which is going to be held in Kampala-Uganda.
Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Saidi Mecky Sadick speaking to United Republic of Tanzania President, Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete this morning at JK Nyerere International Airport.
At the Julius Kambarage Nyerere International Airport, President Kikwete was accompanied by Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Said Mecky Sadick, Inspector General of Police, Said Mwema, Tanzania People’s Defense Forces Chief of Staff, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Shimbo and other government officials
Republic of Congo conflict and the claim of Rwanda involvement, economic development around the Region and unemployment challenge to many young people around the Region are some of the issues guessed to dominate the meeting of the Heads from Great Lakes Region.
The Great Lakes Region includes Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo.
