Hadija Said, a resident of Dar es Salaam's Tandale kwa Tumbo suburb, comments on garbage piled up near her home during an impromptu tour by our photographer. She said they were living dangerously close to “an eyesore that forces our entire neighbourhood to inhale stinking smell”. Another resident of the area complained that they have been regularly paying for garbage collection services but to no avail.
