Shaikh Mohammed launched an advanced version of the Federal Government Performance Management System ‘Adaa 2.0’.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched an advanced version of the Federal Government Performance Management System ‘Adaa 2.0’. The new version provides an effective mechanism to manage institutional performance and monitor the execution of strategic and operational plans across federal government entities in line with UAE Vision 2021.
Shaikh Mohammed launched the system in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince; Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; and Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs.
Shaikh Mohammed said the adoption of the new system reflects the keenness of the UAE to continuously develop mechanisms and work-methodologies to achieve leadership in all aspects. The new system will help the government better serve citizens by presenting best-in-class services. “Citizens are the true judges of the performance of government bodies,” said Shaikh Mohammed.
Adaa 2.0 aims to shift from performance measurement to performance management to provide full support to sustain the development of the federal government entities in addition to setting new concepts and technical methods aiming to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of the follow up on the execution of plans.
The UAE’s vision is to be among the best countries in the world by 2021. In order to achieve this, one of the government’s main objectives is to ensure the successful implementation of its strategic programmes, deliver high-quality services to meet citizens’ needs, and provide the most advanced technical solutions in institutional performance management.
Additionally, Shaikh Mohammed asserted he will personally follow up with the development of services that directly affect citizens of the country. In this context, he has given directives that the new system is to be deployed by all government entities, thus allowing top level officials to stay up-to-date with the challenges that need direct and swift intervention.
