Oman, Tanzania review strong bilateral ties

MUSCAT – His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, yesterday received Anne Semamba Makinda, Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania. She convened the greetings of the leadership of the Tanzania to His Majesty the Sultan along with their best wishes of continuous success to His Majesty and the Government and wishing the Omani people further progress and welfare. After welcoming the guest and her accompanying delegation, His Highness Sayyid Fahd reviewed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
He pointed out that the Shura experience in the Sultanate is based on genuine Omani tradition and that the Council of Oman cooperates with the government to enhance national work and ensure integration and cooperation among all institutions of the state. The conversation also covered aspects of cooperation between the Sultanate and Tanzania and the situations witnessed by the African arena.
Meanwhile, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, received yesterday Anne Makinda, Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania. The meeting reviewed the historical relations binding the Sultanate with Tanzania and enhancing ties of the bilateral cooperation in various fields to serve common interests, as well as reviewing the political developments in the region and East Africa. — ONA
