AHADI: Dr Magufuli outlines water availability plans!

Presidential candidate for the ruling CCM, Dr John Magufuli
Presidential candidate for the ruling CCM, Dr John Magufuli has said if elected the country’s fifth President he will ensure water is available across the country.
Magufuli made the pledge yesterday when addressing a rally in Kalenga and Kilolo constituents in Iringa Region where he acknowledged that water woes have been a serious.
Dr Magufuli said his pledge is part of the 2015/2020 CCM manifesto that stresses the need to increase availability of water in districts’ headquarters, small towns and in national water projects from 57 per cent to 90 per cent by 2020.
According to him, the CCM election manifesto also demands water services in rural areas increase from 67.7 per cent in 2015 to 85 per cent by 2020.
Addressing Kilolo residents, Dr Magufuli went on to pledge establishment of a tomato processing plant so that the perishable crop benefits farmers.
Addressing a rally in Iringa municipality, he pledged to build a new and ultra-modern airport in the area, in an effort to address the air transport quagmire.
The presidential hopeful seized the opportunity to blow the trumpet for the Kilolo Parliamentary contender through CCM, Venance Mwamoto whom he describe as a hard working man and  urged Iringa voters to vote for him.
“Mwamoto is a credible man who is interested to bring change to the district of Kilolo,” he said.
Speaking at the same event, the National chairman of CCM Parents’ wing, Abdalah Bulembo, said true change will come from the CCM Presidential candidate, who according to him is better educated than the opposition.
“CCM didn’t do a mistake when it endorsed Dr Magufuli to vie for the highest post in this year’s General Election,” he said.
