Magufuli: My dream is to boost access to water

The CCM presidential candidate Dr John Magufuli
The CCM presidential candidate Dr John Magufuli   has said the fifth phase government would bring tangible strategies to connect Bunda residents with clean and safe water in a bid to ease the shortages that has faced the residents since independence.

Dr Magufuli was addressing a campaign rally at Sabasaba grounds in Bunda District yesterday ahead of his campaigns in Mara Region that will see him seeking votes for all parliamentary and councilors’ seats in all Mara constituencies.

He said the coming government if elected to power would not tolerate lazy ministers especially those charged with the basic community needs such as water, saying he would not hesitate to sack for example water minister if he or she would not assure the availability of water in Bunda District.

Dr Magufuli also assured Bunda electorate that the 150 plus kilometer road from Nyamuswa village to Kisorya in the nearby Mwibara constituency will be built at tarmac level, noting that the previous fiscal budget had already set aside funds for the construction. ’My government will not tolerate lazy ministers who will not  deliver to the wishes of the electorate by using all means at their disposal to curb the longest public outcry of under performance  during implementing the party manifesto or the state priorities’’

He urged wananchi to elect candidates from his party so that they help him have a straight command channel to the rural folk including bringing about tangible development without favouring anyone in the society.

Speaking on employment, the CCM presidential candidate reiterated the need for the state organs including the law enforcers to allow youths who are engaging in petty businesses to operate freely without unnecessary interference.

”It is not necessary for the law enforcers to engage in regular commotions with youths who have employed themselves in the informal sector,” he said.
“Our government if elected to power will  concentrate on educating them on simply income generating expertise as  well as training the bodaboda on road safety precautions,’’  he added.

He went on to note that the fifth phase government would not tolerate selfish ministers if elected to power those who would use the limited natural resources for their selfish gains without putting the priorities of the local mwananchi into their utmost agenda.

Dr Magufuli said being in the government for the past twenty years he was conversant with all poverty reduction strategies and added it was only that some unscrupulous government officials had decided to put into their pockets the limited resources we had as a country.

‘’We will tell them to concentrate on boosting sectors such as   education, health and infrastructure for Bunda residents and the country,” he said.
