A young woman who decided to tailor a scarf made of gold worth $75,000 has sparked outrage on social media.

In the video which received such a backlash, the young woman says she had it made with 22g of gold and weighs nearly 2kg.

She appears to be trying it on at a goldsmiths shop.

"What do you think it looks good on me, right?" she croons.

Social media has lambasted her for the unbelievable price of the cloth, while others denied it outright.
