Iran’s Supreme Leader orders Iran to prepare for strike on Israel!

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered preparations for a strike on Israel in response to an Israeli military attack that took place on October 26, according to The New York Times.

Three unnamed Iranian officials told the publication that Khamenei issued the directive to the Supreme National Security Council to develop an attack plan.

According to the officials, Khamenei made this decision after reviewing the extent of damage caused by the Israeli strike to Iran’s missile production facilities, air defense systems around Tehran, energy infrastructure, and the main southern port.

NYT sources clarified that Khamenei described the scale of the Israeli attack and the casualties involved — with at least four Iranian soldiers killed — as too significant to ignore. He added that failing to respond would signify a defeat for Tehran.

The officials also mentioned that military commanders are preparing a list of dozens of military targets within Israel. The strike, however, is likely to be carried out after the US presidential election. Iran is concerned that a heightened conflict in the Middle East could benefit US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Rumors about Iran's plans

It is worth noting that just yesterday, October 31, Axios, citing sources, reported that Iran is planning a strike on Israel from Iraqi territory, potentially involving pro-Iranian militants.

The interlocutors of the source specified that a large number of ballistic missiles and drones are planned to be used in the shelling.
