The designated time for Qurbani (animal sacrifice) on Eid al-Adha starts after the completion of the Eid prayer and sermon. For goats, the allowed slaughter window ends at sunset on the 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah. Any slaughtering done prior to the Eid prayer is invalid and counts only as meat. 

Observing the sacrifice requires specific timings, conditions for the animal, and rules for distribution:

⏱️ The Timeframe

• Start Time: After the Eid prayer and light sermon on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah. (If you are in an area without an Eid prayer, estimate the time once the sun has risen and cleared the horizon).
• Deadline: Until sunset on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah.
• Best Practice: The most preferred time is directly after the Eid prayer on the first day, though it can be performed on any of the three days of Tashreeq.

🐐 Animal Requirements

To be eligible for Qurbani, goats must meet strict health and age standards:

• Minimum Age: A goat must be at least 1 year old.
• Health: The animal must be healthy, well-nourished, and free from apparent physical defects like blindness, severe illness, or broken limbs.
• Shares: A goat or sheep accounts for a single sacrifice/share for one person (unlike cows and camels, which can be shared by up to seven people).

🥩 Distribution of Meat

Islamic tradition recommends dividing the meat into three equal parts:

1. One-third for your own family's consumption.
2. One-third for relatives and friends.
3. One-third to the poor and needy.
